Don’t Put All Eggs Into One Basket

Don’t put all your eggs into one basket — even in situations when Internet Marketers want to convince you to focus solely on their products. It would be nice for internet marketers to leave you focused on their products alone, but putting all your eggs into one basket could prove VERY costly for you.

Here’s the deal.

When you get a commission you get a percentage of sales you have accomplished. When you have many products you attract many types of customers, and consequently have a larger chance of getting sales. When you have ten products with commissions ranging from 30-70% there’s a fair chance to estimate you will get somewhere around 45% of the TOTAL sales you have accomplished.

With TEN products your sales will be HIGHER than if you only offered ONE product. Furthermore, your business will fail if and when a producer draws back his support for you whereas you would still have NINE other products if one was lost.

So, as you can see, there’s a great deal that can be said in favour of expanding your market. You get less susceptible to losses as a result of what other people are doing, whereas you could end up very vulnerable if you had put all your eggs into one basket.

So my best advice to you is to get affiliate marketing of MANY GOOD products, and leave exclusive rights up to others. Let them gather all their efforts into one product, and let them make this mistake. For your business increasing conversion rates by improving sales letters and websites should be your area of focus.

Carpe diem & Merry X-mas. 🙂
