Build Twitter Power By Perspective

How can you build REAL Twitter Power? What is your perspective on using Twitter? Have you even thought of what really makes up good behavior on Twitter? Read this, and you will learn to put Twitter into the right perspective, and build a good following of serious users.

Let’s face it. Some want to force impressive thousands of followers as some sort of success criteria. Follow lots of people, and count on people following you back. You end up losing all Tweets, and you have no quality in the feeds from those you follow.

You can do WAY MUCH BETTER. If you maintain decency in your selection of whom to follow you will find that Twitter is a very USEFUL and BENEFICIAL network of users. People who have much to tell and an ability to say it in short sentences. Even the fact that Tweets are limited to 140 characters is a sign of quality. I know many will define me as somewhat impatient. I am. I like short explanations and straight-to-the-point talk. You have a problem, say so. You have a solution, explain it. You have a grudge, come forward.

But NEVER waste my time. I will not be a smalltalker for long, if you don’t have something useful to say. Some call this arrogant, and maybe they’re right.

But think of it this way: when I can help lots of people (like I do on Yahoo Answers, Kandu and many other places), then time is of the essence. We all have 24 hours every day. This time MUST be spent properly. We all need sleep, out kids need attention, our spouse needs attention etc. The amount of time left besides working MUST be spent in a way that benefits everyone.

If you can’t introduce your idea (or thought) in 140 characters, you really don’t know what you want to say. Read that sentence again! If you have a clear message you can create a lot of buzz around your idea if you know how to present it in short and clear terms. Stop kidding yourself, and start building a faithful following by observing these ground rules:

  • Bring VALUE to followers on Twitter
  • Treat followers on Twitter with respect – those you have selected have focus and purpose
  • Prune list of followers – if they start spamming, stop them from polluting your timeline…
  • Release news with care – don’t become a spammy news bureau. Only share what you find truly useful
  • RT (Retweeting) means you share the ability of others – give due credit to whom credit is due.

Some of these points are built upon reading Joel Comm’s book “Twitter Power”, but I have also expanded some points according to my own experience, and felt like sharing so you could also benefit from Twitter.

Good Signs Amid Global Slowdown

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Google AdSense,Your Own Business, monetizing your blog | Sunday 3 May 2009 1:07 pm

While the IMF sends signals that “Global economy will shrink” (according to CNN), there are also good signs amid the global slowdown. There are many types of economy:

  • Global economy — all nations viewed under one big picture
  • G8 economy — economy among the top-8 nations
  • National economy — your own country’s economy
  • Corporate economy — economy of businesses
  • Family economy — your household economy
  • Personal economy — how you’re doing economically

It’s highly important not to let national economy be a sign of how the global economy is doing. We have seen signs, in Denmark, that shares had some growth during April — but that trend was mostly shares owned by the financial giant ATP in preparation for releasing what we call SP, a special form of retirement fund that has since been “cancelled”, and can now be paid out.

One giant financial institution doing well in our country doesn’t mean everyone is over this slowdown. Rather the contrary. Just as tendencies within the EU [European Union] might be somewhat better than the major troubles faced by the United States. Many are following the political signals, realizing that freeing themselves from fossil fuels WILL rock the Arab nations and their oil exports. In much the same way national borrowing in a dangerous world of opposing world views CAN be challenging. Some ARE sending signals in the way they spend tax money, and we – as individuals trying to earn some money online – can be greatly affected by some of the political decisions.

In THIS situation it was, however, nice to conclude that Adsense income was 43,18% above the month of March. It should however also be said that almost a year ago, income through that venue dropped nearly 60% so there is still some way back. Nonetheless, it’s important to recognize the good signs in times like these to maintain good focus on positive elements.

If you want to experience growth you need to change your mindset. Keep doing the right thing, survive these trying times, and you will come across at the other end much richer in experience etc. Carpe diem.

How You Can Revitalize Your Cash Cow

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Selling Stuff | Friday 1 May 2009 12:01 am

I want to tell you how you can revitalize your cash cow. You may have an e-book laying on your hard drive which previously made you some money. NOW is the time to start making money from it again. I will teach you how reading it aloud into a sound file can allow you to revitalize that cash cow like you have never seen before.

Print your e-book. Put on some water for a cup of tea, and prepare to dive into your material. Take a red pen with you and mark up ANYTHING that is outdated. The key to revitalize your cash cow is to make it an UPDATED version.

People LOVE updated versions for two reasons:

  • Updated versions make it RELEVANT for them today
  • Updated versions can be made even more valuable

Remember: the more value you put into your material, the more money you will earn and the better your credibility online. When you release your material as an e-book that is read aloud people can take their e-book with them on MP3, on their iPods, on a USB-key etc. All of it compatible with the time they spend in their cars anyway.

You MUST provide something that is EASY to DIGEST for people to take action.
We could easily agree that more comprehensive materials might be better, but it won’t sell. People want something they can understand. They are so fed up with their everyday jobs that they don’t have the extra time to dive into a printed e-book, and consequently much material that could have earned people thousands of dollars lies around waiting to be used.

So stop procrastinating, and begin revitalizing your own cash cows. Get the work done and get the wheels turning. You’re welcome to tell me about the product(s) you may have created after reading this. I would be truly happy to hear of a lot more people who began revitalizing their cash cows. Carpe diem. :-)
