Inspiration for All

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Blogging | Sunday 28 December 2008 3:52 pm

If you have read this blog regularly you will have noticed how I often direct you towards good articles – even though they might not be written by myself. For me it’s more important that you GET the information than actually sitting and re-doing what’s already there.

So my “end of the year” inspirational gift to you is drawing your attention to an article entitled ”
Haven’t Made Any Money But Trying For Years? – Read This” by Daniel McGonagle. It’s really worth reading, and I hope it may inspire you in your planning ahead so 2009 can BECOME your best year ever.

You will find the article over at: http://danielmcgonagle.name/havent-made-any-money-and-have-been-trying-for-years-read-this.

Happy reading. :-)

Don't Work Anymore This Year

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Bring Plans to Life, Your Own Business | Tuesday 23 December 2008 12:01 am

Shut down what you’re doing. Quit. Stop. Don’t work anymore this year. What you have done amounts to the actual results for the year 2008. You may have a few banner ads running the year out but take stock now. Whatever rolls in between now and 2009 can be checked when you take final stock on January 1st 2009. :-)

Go to your Adsense account and see how much it all adds up to.
Go to your banner ads suppliers and count up all the months and see how much it all adds up to.
Check your PayPal, AlertPay and other online banking accounts to see how much you earned.

Write it all down on a piece of paper. Are you happy about the figure?

  • If yes, what was your growth compared with 2007?
  • If no, what are you going to do about it in the year 2009?

Let’s face the facts…
Now is the best time ever to take stock, read through this blog, become inspired, prepare next year by printing out some of the e-books you have considered selling for so long.
Go through your harddrive, and throw away everything that isn’t worth keeping. Don’t keep anything that isn’t going to work.

Remember this: your customers deserve the VERY BEST, and you must deliver the very best every single day of the year every year. Why not begin by becoming more effective so you can earn even more? That’s why the category “Bring Plans to Life” was created.

So do yourself a favour by carefully planning to take action next year. If you do you can experience the kind of growth that lies behind our enthusiasm for this money online industry. Remember to work in a niche where you love what you do. That way you get the best results.

Carpe diem, Happy holidays and a Happy New Year. Welcome back in 2009.

How Many Friends Can You Have?

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Blogging | Monday 22 December 2008 12:07 pm

How many friends do you have? Should we look at our Facebook profile to consider all 143+ people friends? How about Twitter where nearly 100 people follow my short messages — so-called Tweets — or is friendship something else?

I think you have already guessed I was going to say friendship is something else, because it’s also something more than just following your updates on social networks. Agreed, there can be friends on your social networks, but you can’t necessarily consider everyone friends, can you?

The funny part about social networks is that we spend a lot of time giving advice, giving content and relating with others. But have you noticed the type of Facebook-user that won’t really accept any friends? He/she wants to know where you found them etc. Guess what? On the internet everyone’s a potential contact, colleague or even competitor.

Be sure you treat social networks as they are meant to be. Places where you can share with others. Seasonal greetings. :-)

Internet Marketers: Beware

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Bring Plans to Life, E-books, free stuff | Wednesday 17 December 2008 1:02 pm

As I originally wrote in my e-book “Making Sense of Internet Marketing Chaos” it’s sad to behold that some STILL commit the same errors. Recommending products far and wide within the select same 15 people. One big “old boy network” where opportunities are granted on a “person recognized” or “persona non grata” level — all of it based upon who knows whom and who owes what favor to whom.

All of that is bound to fall apart when people read my e-book and take the message to heart. Decent products will survive but poor quality will fall through. “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” (Abraham Lincoln)

It is highly important to maintain online integrity and credibility and consequently you won’t find ANY recommendations if I can’t fully stand behind a specific product. If you prefer it any other way, the internet is filled with greedy people who will recommend anything for money.

If you haven’t read my free e-book, please make sure you get it over at: http://www.blunck.dk/recommends/online_chaos.

Twitter Tools

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Blogging, Your Own Business | Sunday 14 December 2008 12:01 am

There are some very nice tools around that can make your usage of Twitter even more effective. I want to recommend a few of these so you can benefit from this also. In that way I can share what I found when I saw these programs, and hope you may benefit from these also.

Twilert

One such tool is Twilert which is very similar to Google Alerts. Google Alerts informs you about websites that mention products similar to your based on a number of key words you define when you create your Google Alert. You can do the same with Tweets from fellow Twitter-users using Twilert. You can subscribe by going over to their site which is: http://www.twilert.com/.

Twitterment

If you need to do an on-the-fly search for a specific term among fellow Twitters, then Twitterment is the search engine you need. Read more about it here: http://www.twitterment.com/.

Tweetr

TweetR is the utility you need when you want to upload files and send a link to these on your Twitter message board. You can just drag the file you want uploaded to TweetR and it will provide a short url to the file once it’s uploaded. Fascinating little program. Read more here: http://www.tweet-r.com/.

TwitterFeed

TwitterFeed is one of my favourites that I just created. I am simply impressed by the fact that you can add your RSS to one single place and then combine it so your followers are updated every time you update your blog. You can read about TwitterFeed here: http://twitterfeed.com/.

Have fun, and remember to take action. The more you prepare for automatization the better your entire business will be running. Best of all, all 4 tools are FREE so why wait?

Being PRODUCTIVE

Posted by Henrik Blunck (admin) | Setting up your blog, Your Own Business, monetizing your blog | Tuesday 9 December 2008 3:22 pm

Being more productive is a key-factor if you want to increase your income. Already, many employers have long ago found that redesigning work procedures can work miracles in achieving improved performance for every salary dollar spent. Why should it be any different in your own business? Being self-employed means using self-discipline in the way you handle your business.

Stop kidding yourself! You probably feel like you spend countless hours researching and developing your site, but how often do you, honestly, find yourself passively watching websites roll by without any real results accumulated? Read every word ’cause this can have tremendous impact for your business. If you begin spending your hours on WORK rather than RECREATION you can minimize the amount of time you CALL work and thereby get a lot of extra leisure time.

Again, many employers KNOW this. It has been a fantastic chance to gain millions of dollars by restructuring. You should do the same for your business, and it should be your best free christmas gift all year. What you change now can become tremendous change for you and your online business during 2009.

Carpe diem. :-)
